How to prepare for the TIFEI? Discover our preparation courses for the institutional French test for international students.
The TIFEI, or Institutional French Test for International Students, is a French test required by the University of Quebec at Trois-Rivières. It allows international students to prove their level of French before starting their classes.
The TIFEI lasts 90 minutes and contains 130 multiple-choice questions on grammar, vocabulary, stylistics, text comprehension, and textual coherence. Please note that the test costs $120 and cannot be retaken once it has been taken.
If you score between 45% and 75% on the test, you must take and pass one to four French courses within eleven months of the start of the admission session. A score of over 75% confirms sufficient proficiency in French, and you will be admitted directly to your program.
The TIFEI test preparation courses are intended for students who wish to prepare for the exam and be admitted to UQTR (Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières).
Global Lingua teachers support you in improving your French and help you optimize your test preparation time. They target areas of the language that need improvement so that you can reach the level required for the TIFEI test.
