STUDENT PROFILE
Our beginner classes are personalized and allow students to learn the basics of Spanish at their own pace so that they can communicate easily and effectively in Spanish. They are an introduction to the language and are aimed at students who have never learned Spanish or who only know a few words.
Beginners in Spanish are at the A1 or A2 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). Evaluate your level to find out if this course fits your situation!

DISCUSSED SUBJECTS
Through our courses, our students acquire basic knowledge of the Spanish language. At the end of our classes, students can present themselves in Spanish, share their opinions and ask for information. Our students can also understand words or phrases in simple texts and write short texts in Spanish. The teachers approach the notions of the Spanish language by using subjects which arouse the interest of the students. The first courses are usually used to better understand the individuals and allow the teacher to target their interests.
TEACHING METHODS
Depending on your preference, Spanish classes for beginners can be taken online or by phone, which helps to work on accent and intonation. Teaching online with Google Meet is ideal when the individual is a beginner, since it allows screen sharing, exchange of texts and images. In this sense, Google Meet becomes a very informative visual support that gives the student the opportunity to integrate more quickly the different notions of Spanish. It is possible to make changes to the course schedule, without penalty, with 48 hours notice.
At Global Lingua, there is a study area that contains useful learning tools. This study area is a real place of information sharing and provides access to the course notes exchanged between you and your teacher. You can also ask your teacher to give you exercises to do outside of school hours, to consolidate the concepts learned during the course. In this case, the teacher will send you your homework via this study area.
LENGTH OF the CLASSES
The Spanish language courses for beginners are given at the frequency and time most convenient for the student. Students generally choose to take 30-minute or one-hour classes, but it is also possible to opt for longer courses. Beginners usually choose to start the program with a 30-minute class, before continuing the program with one-hour classes, once they feel more confident.
