Our English classes are private and specialized to better meet everyone's needs. They are given online, by Google Meet or by phone. This program can be followed by someone who wants to start learning English or by someone who wants to improve on a particular aspect of the language. For example, someone with a Work Holiday Visa looking for a job in the commercial field may decide to work on its skills to converse in business English.

TEACHING METHODS

The English course program for people in WHV can be delivered via Google Meet or telephone. It will be possible to follow your classes at home or during your office lunch time. It is even possible to follow these courses on the road, during a visit of the province of Quebec for example! Google Meet has a significant advantage which is to be able to suit both people who are more visual than those who are more auditory. Indeed, the teacher can quickly provide explanations to the student by communicating them orally or in writing.

It is important to add that changes to the course schedule are possible, without penalty, with 48 hours notice. There is a study area that contains different learning tools. This space provides access to the course notes exchanged between you and your teacher. You can also discuss with your teacher your desire to do exercises outside of school hours to consolidate the concepts learned during the course. The latter will then send you your homework via this study area.

LENGTH OF THE CLASSES

Global Lingua wants to develop flexible class schedules, so courses are given at the frequency and time most convenient for the student. This allows you to choose your class schedules according to your working hours. Students generally choose to start the program with a 30-minute class to get used to conversing in English before taking one-hour classes.

OTHER COURSES

It is possible with Global Lingua to take courses to learn languages other than French or English. You may decide to take Spanish classes (for a future WHV in Chile or Peru?), Brazilian Portuguese (for a WHV in Brazil?), Mandarin or Italian. These classes are also offered online or by phone.
