TOPICS COVERED
Our Korean courses give beginner students the essential foundations: reading and writing the Korean alphabet (hangeul), polite expressions, introducing oneself, writing short texts, and everyday simple exchanges. Intermediate and advanced levels, meanwhile, allow students to hold more complex conversations, discuss current events or cultural topics, and interact comfortably with native speakers. Our Korean teachers build their lessons around each student's interests, whether that's Korean pop culture, travel, business, or preparing for an exam such as the TOPIK. The first sessions are generally used to identify the student's needs and interests in order to guide the content of the lessons that follow.
TEACHING METHODS
Our online Korean courses are offered via Google Meet, which allows for screen sharing as well as real-time exchange of text and images — a particularly useful feature for visualizing hangeul characters and grasping the structures specific to Korean more quickly. Course schedules can be changed at no penalty, with 48 hours' notice.
Global Lingua also promotes hybrid learning, meaning the ability to complement conversation classes with personalized exercises generated on the Sapere platform. Teachers can assign custom content there, while students are free to create additional exercises or test themselves.
LENGTH OF KOREAN COURSES
The frequency and schedule of Korean courses are set according to each student's availability and preferences. Beginners generally choose to start the program with 30-minute sessions. Once more comfortable with the language, many go on to continue with one-hour lessons to deepen their skills further.
