Test of English as a Foreign Language is a standardized test to measure the English language ability of non-native speakers wishing to enroll in English-speaking universities. The exam is comprised of 4 parts : speaking, reading, writing and listening.

Our TOEFL preparation courses allow students to acquire the language level necessary to pass the exam with success. We want to develop the ease and autonomy of our students so that they are able to understand the content of a complex text, communicate with a native, or express an opinion accurately. The course content is personalized, so the teacher will approach the concepts of the English language according to your interests and needs.
COURSE CONTENT FOR TOEFL PREPARATION
First, we offer an evaluation of the student’s level to better understand the student’s needs and weaknesses. We provide all the material for the course and our teachers guide you through your preparation by giving you feedback on your progress for each section of the exam.
For the writing section you will receive corrections in red of your compositions and essays, as well as grammatical exercises targeted to help you improve the areas identified during the correction process.
For the speaking part the teacher will give feedback and correct the student while he or she speaks in class and write the corrections on Google Meet so the student can understand the mistakes being made during the preparation for the oral expression part of the exam. Targeted exercises will be assigned to help the student improve.
For the reading section the student will receive a text to read with questions to answer, the teacher will correct the exercises and offer hints and tips to help improve the reading comprehension.
For the listening section, the teacher will give audio files to the student in homework and the student will have to answer some questions related to the audio files and submit their answers to their teacher for correction. They will receive the corrections of the audio file answers and tips on what to listen for when preparing for the listening comprehension section of the TOEFL exam.
TEACHING METHODS
TOEFL preparation can be done by Google Meet or telephone, depending on the student's preferences and availability. It is possible to cancel a course or make changes to the schedule, without penalty, with 48 hours notice. At Global Lingua, there is a study area that gathers several information: your class schedule, homework, learning objectives and class notes exchanged between you and your teacher.
You can agree with your teacher that you want to do exercises outside of school hours to integrate the notions acquired during the lessons. You can also ask him to take some TOEFL exams to train you.
LENGTH OF the CLASSES
TOEFL exam preparation courses are given at the frequency and time most convenient for the student. Generally, students first choose to take 30-minute or one-hour classes before taking longer courses when they feel comfortable.
