This course program is tailored for people who want to learn German, whether they are beginners or more advanced in their learning. German is a West Germanic language that is mainly spoken in Central Europe. Our courses are ideal if you want to familiarize yourself with this language spoken by more than 110 million people around the world. DISCUSSED SUBJECTS
Thanks to our classes, our students acquire a basic knowledge of German, allowing them to cope in a German-speaking environment or with natives. At the end of our courses, beginner students can introduce themselves in German, write short texts, share their opinions and ask for information.
Our more advanced students in German will be able to give their opinion on complex topics and take part in conversations with natives. The teachers approach the concepts of the German language by using topics of interest for the students. The first courses are usually used to better understand the individuals and allow the teacher to target the interests of the latter.
TEACHING METHODS
Depending on your preference, German lessons can be provided remotely by Google Meet or by phone. However, teaching by Google Meet is perfect for beginners since it allows screen sharing, exchange of texts and images. Google Meet gives the student the opportunity to integrate more quickly the various notions of German. It is possible to make changes to the course schedule, without penalty, with 48 hours notice.
At Global Lingua, there is a study area that contains your class schedule and the course notes you exchanged between you and your teacher. It is also possible to ask your teacher for exercises you could do outside of school hours in order to consolidate the concepts acquired during the course.
LENGTH OF THE CLASSES
You can schedule your language courses in German depending on your availability and on the frequency that suits you best. Beginning students usually choose to start the program with a 30-minute class. Once they are more comfortable with their learning, most students continue the program by attending one-hour classes.
