This program is designed for people who need to take the CELPIP test (​​Canadian English Language Proficiency Index Program) to certify their level of English in Canada, for example when applying for permanent resident status or Canadian citizenship.

WHAT IS THE CELPIP TEST?

The CELPIP is a general English language proficiency test. It is required by some Canadian universities, by some professional associations, but especially by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) when applying for permanent residence or Canadian citizenship.

This exam, available online and lasting 3 hours, allows you to evaluate your knowledge in oral comprehension, written comprehension, oral expression and written expression.

Our CELPIP preparation courses enable students to acquire the language skills needed to pass the exam. Our goal? To develop the fluency and autonomy of our students so that they are able to understand the content of a complex text in order to answer related questions, communicate their opinion orally, write an email in English, etc. This will enable them to answer the oral and written questions of the CELPIP test.

TEACHING METHODS

Preparation for the CELPIP test can be done via Google Meet or by phone, whichever is most convenient for the student.

It is possible to cancel a course or change a schedule without penalty with 48 hours notice. At Global Lingua, the study area contains your class schedule, assignments, learning objectives and class notes exchanged between you and your teacher. If you want to do exercises outside of class, you can ask your teacher for assignments. You can also ask your teacher to do mock exams for the CELPIP, in order to practice in real conditions.

COURSE DURATION

CELPIP preparation classes are held at a time and frequency that is most convenient for the student. Typically, students choose to take 30-minute or one-hour classes, before taking longer classes when they feel comfortable.
